Default Possible Build, but please help

Allright I've been thinking and kinda wanting a PvE Degen build so i kinda worked with this one, don't know if I created it or anything but it needs work

Attributes
Fast Cast 13 (12+1 rune)
Illusion 16 (12+1+3)

Skills
1. Signet of Illusions (elite) next spell is an illusion base spell (spam this)
2. Conjure Phantasam
3. Phantom Pain
4. Life Siphone
5. Well of Suffering
6. Vile Miasma
7. Consume Corpse
8. Res Signet

Feel free to flame it or what ever but I would like some pointers to improve or even create a massive degen build, I'm trying to stay away from Posion, Bleeding and Disease, so it will be effective aginst non flesh targets (undead, elementals, ghosts, ect.) I know right now it has very poor energy management and is heavly relying on corpses for mana and life (Consume Corpse + Sig = 21 energy + 100 or so life). Any help would be vastly appreciated.

degen is an iffy thing in pve. in the lower level areas, it works great. conjure in pre searing is just about the best skill ever. but it loses a lot once you get to higher level enemies. the problem is that degen is capped. a single enemy can not take more than -10 pips of degen or 20 damage per second. now when an enemy only has 160 hp, it works great (dead in 8 seconds). but an enemy with 500 hp would take 25 seconds to kill. my advice: drop the whole degen build idea. without focused fire on your target, it just wont kill your target fast enough. and with focused dmg, you'd still be better off adding even more direct dmg yourself.

but its pve. run whatever you find fun; in the end it really doesnt matter what you use.

I would suggest that you drop Vile Miasma as it requires a condition to achieve the hex degen. So you must wait 10 seconds for Vile Maisma to work as a hex degen.

Well of Suffering requires a corpse, so again you must wait for a corpse for you to use it.

Consume Corpse may send you into a position that you don't want to be in (in the middle of the fray for instance).

Take Images Or Remorse, Parasitic Bond and Drain Delusions/Auspicious Incantation.

As stated before, health degen is capped at 10 pips.

however, you arent taking into consideration that you can degen MULTIPLE foes. :P also, some enemies (especially bosses) have a natural regen, which will allow you to degen them more than just 10.

For me, the trick to PvE is to go the dom route. Illusion is great for support, but in PvE you have to think like an Ele (read:spike damage). Degen is great on lower level foes, like has been mentioned, but doesn't seem to work that great later on. Focused fire from you (like energy surge, energy burn, and spiritual pain) and your heroes/hench makes quicker work of most mobs.

Hope that helps some, don't know much about necro skills.

actually, with the energy issues with this build, i dont think you can apply your hex chain to too many foes before you are out of energy.

as for the bosses, the degen is still capped at ten. just because they have a natural regen doesnt mean you can exceed -10 pips on them. even if you put -30 pips of degen on a boss, they still only show -10 degen.

idk if this will work cause you need to wait for SoI to recharge for almost every skill to be effective at all but SoI bonders are really good they dont have life barrior
